When KETC began our work on the mortgage crisis, we asked 25 community agencies to become our partners. Our purpose was to raise awareness of the crisis in our region and connect people with foreclosure prevention resources. Together with our partners, we have connected more than 8,000 people to community resources. And many foreclosures have been prevented. But the mortgage crisis isnt over. And now, our nation is facing a broader financial crisis. Thats why we’re expanding our efforts on-air and online, with stories, information and a new one-hour call-in show called Facing the Financial Crisis on Tuesday, January 27, 7:00 p.m.We know that when we as a community pool our resources, talk to each other, and work together on solutions, we can make a difference. As weve said all along, were in this together.
