There is something called FDCPA and you are illegal scum
Collection agencies …
Collection agencies have been havens for criminals and their ociates, who use their positions to access a goldmine of financial information. There have been arrests, for this reason, in Canada. I once heard a collection agent skip-tracer bost that he’d located someone on RCMP witness protection–doing dirty-work for criminals. If you sleep with pigs, you wake up smelling like .
People who work for collection agencies should find a more respectable job…like professional sucker.

yea’ but if I did …
yea’ but if I did fall on hard times the dealer would take the vehicle back (“The dealership keeps a leased vehicle as their own et “) and i would be stuck paying way less than I would on a purchased deficiency balance, There are pro’s and con’s to any situation granted minimizing risk is fundamental… digest that tid bit….
I agree with you if …
I agree with you if a debt is owed it’s honorable to pay and people should be honorable. As for leasing, it is an investment. A very poor one. You’re having to pay for something that is not yours and never will be yours. The dealership keeps a leased vehicle as their own et which means even after your lease agreement ends, if you choose to buy the vehicle you will end up paying even more than it’s worth. You are paying money for a vehicle that will never be a financial et for you.
nothing is free in …
nothing is free in this world!!!plastic fantastic is the way most americans live howbout paying cash for what you need and quit …..living like pigs buying things we dont really need and then when its time to pay the bill no body likes paying there bills thats why bill collectors and lawyers will always have a job…and for all those folks who are looking for jobs have you ever thought about a collections job…..
Its leased so no …
Its leased so no worries about investment there. But this is the bottom line If I were to fall into default on a loan I would not hide bedhind family, or get debtors amnesia. I would make an honest effort to pay, I’ve never expected anything more than that from a debtor.
If debtors acted like they were the ones owed the money, the would all be singing a diffrent tune…..
I wonder if you …
I wonder if you paid cash for your 60,000 dollar Mercedez, or if you received a car loan for it. By the way as an investment banker for bank of America I would be the first to tell you that anyone who spends half their income on a vehicle is making a poor investment. Be careful what you say because even you can fall on hard times and find yourself in default on a loan.
they may be scum …
they may be scum but if you’re a creditor that’s how you make your money, no? These collections agencies buy bad accounts knowing they’re bad. Also, the relative may call back in less than 5 minutes because they want to know what you want. But if you keep it up they’ll learn to ignore you too.
Really I dont care …
Really I dont care how much you make what car you drive or anything for that matter remeber it’s youtube not a debate. I could go on and tell you that I’m a teacher I earn this I earn that and I drive this and I drive that but nah I dont brag.

What about when you cant pay your debt because you are a disabled vet? The issue is not that you are not responsible in paying your debts, but that you are unable to get a job due to your disability. What then, and for those of you who know im talking about 50% service connected disability.

Wow that dumb guy and the dumb lady really need to get a life, going through family to get a message erm big no no in this day in age they are basically breaking every law in the book.
It IS illegal to …
It IS illegal to call a neighbor or family. FDCA states this and if they do that to you threaten to file charges with the Attorney General and threaten to take them to civil court for it.
Learn the laws! and then stick it to the bill collectors.
I don’t have a …
I don’t have a problem with collectors doing there job just feel that they should have a little more compassion when calling a family member of someone who they know is deceased. After my mother passed away over a year ago debt collectors started calling and harassing me and my siblings for her debt. Our mother had no estate so there wasn’t anything to pay the debts with but that didn’t stop the collectors from making harassing phone calls trying to collect from us on debt that wasn’t our’s.
