Fyi My husband and I have been on staff at 2 different churches for th last 5 years and we have NEVER flown first class, and we scrimp and save to give more to the church as well. Not all churches are the same.

    Why is it that …
Why is it that religious leaders are always asking for money?
Tithe or your prayers won’t be answered!
It is a bit critical to expect the flock to scrimp and save so church leaders can fly first class.

    They claim to know …
They claim to know God, yet in that day He will say to them, “I never knew you.” May God open our eyes so that we no longer walk in deception and under the yoke of false teachers and doctrines that ensnare and keep people in bondage to a system that is not designed by the Lord. To Him be the glory, and power, and might, for ever and ever, Amen.

    I am fear the …
I am fear the post-modern church is headed for ruin and a form of christianity that the Apostles of our Lord would not recognize or approve of. The Lord is awakening many who hear the Spirit speaking to the hearts of His children. He is stirring a desire in many to take hold of the pure gospel of Christ and to come against the robbers of God’s people.

    By agreeing with …
By agreeing with and supporting the position of tithing for new testament believers, they embolden those leaders who teach this false doctrine to continue to use and manipulate their members. Why are the best seats, and the places of honor reserved for the wealthy and the accomplished in this world? Why does the church entertain those who have their own selfish ambitions in mind and not the things that God cares about?

    There is a huge …
There is a huge contrast to Biblical leadership and present practices in most evangelical/protestant congregations. My anger is with the men who claim to be God’s voice for the masses, yet they enrich themselves and feed of the sheep, living in exsess and luxury, while some of their members suffer and are in lack and need for the basic necessities. I have witnessed this in several churches. So are all the success teachers and ministries.

    Do you not know …
Do you not know that the early church for the first several hundred years never tought tithing? This teaching was incorporated into the church after it’s organization and imilation by the Roman government. Now ministers use this to pressure and manipulate their members into giving. While the pastor or leader of the church or ministry lives above the standard of his/their members.

The church is not a …
The church is not a business model, nor a club for the popular and trendy. Most television ministries and so called ministers, who have mega-churches and a large television audience use manipulative mind control and emotional suggestions to enrich themselves under the guise of doing God’s work. They distort Biblical teachings regarding tithes and offerings, and leadership principles.

I am not trying to …
I am not trying to be devisive orjudgemental. The post-modern church is headed for a rude awakening. Yes, there are many who attend denominational, evengelical, protestant congregations that live a life devoted to the Lord. Yet there are just as many, if not more, who are in leadership roles, pastors, teachers, prophets, and other ministry roles that have a false understanding of biblical principles regarding leadership, money, giving, and church life.

    Crown was founded …
Crown was founded by Larry Burkett and Howard Dayton. Howard has supported this ministry as a full time volunteer for 20 years, because he and his family felt it more important to serve Christ and others than seek worldly gain.
Don’t ume this program is about “blessings” in the worldly sense, it’s about fruit.

You obviously haven’t any idea what Crown Ministries is about or what it teaches. If you did, you wouldn’t be putting down an organization that preaches the same gospel you appear to be trying to preach. Except they do it in a loving and winsome way.
Please read James and the discussion of the tongue and idle words.

    No thanks. I choose …
No thanks. I choose the historic Christ preached by the apostles. The living Jesus Christ, whose followers would rather die than indulge in their own s and greed. Give me that christianity, the Christ whom the poor run to, the Christ who transforms sinners. The Christ whom the downtrodden and aflicted run to. That is my Master and my God.

  • gr8name1 says:

    Success in the eyes …
Success in the eyes of God is not the success the world has to offer. The church has become a financial money making institution. A for-prophit organization. A business model. Everyone smileing and tapping each other on the shoulders, grinning from cheek to cheek with those pearly white teeth. The greed of the clergy is atrocious. The begging for more money, the guilt preaching, the program driven financial mega-church!

    Read Galatians. …
Read Galatians. Then try Romans and Corithians. To top that off, go to Hebrews and see what it means to be a new creation. The old is passed away, behold, everything is new. The liberty we have in Christ is lived by the power of the Holy Spirit, not methods, programs, and worldly techniques. The people of God are awakening to these truthes. The mega-churches are growing, but so are the christians who are led by the Holy Spirit.

    God’s plan for …
God’s plan for success for your life is not to get rich. He wants you to get to know Him. Then, live for Him. I am not against sound financial wisdom and methods for saving or investing. But I sure know how to smell a feel good, be successful and happy messenger, while reaping in the financial rewards from God’s people. Shame on you for teaching the falsehood of law tithing to God’s children!

    God’s way of …
God’s way of handeling money. Do not seek the riches of this world or the pleasures that money can buy. All these things are passing away and will perish. We love God and if He chooses to bless one financialy, great. But are all rich? Can your methods make everyone “successful? Do not even the ungodly and wicked prosper in riches and success?
